S.K. Historical Tanner Cemetery #129
The following photos were taken in Kingston, Rhode Island. The cemetery is located off of Route 138 in South Kingstown at the Laurel Lane Golf Course in the rear of Green #3. There are three Tanner cemeteries. The following are photos from S.K. Historical Tanner cemetery # 129. The other two cemeteries are Tanner # 130 and Tanner # 131.
If anyone has information on the other cemeteries, please advise and we can place the information here. If you have any information on who these people are, please contact me at mudd@mudd.org.
Special Thanks to Charlie Carpenter of Washington County, R.I. who identified the cemetery's location.

Special Thanks to Lois Curtiss and Perry Tanner:
"You probably know by now what some of the letters stand for. These cemeteries are on the William Tanner, emigrant, farm. W T stands for William Tanner, M T stands for Mary (Babcock) Tanner and E T stands for Elizabeth ( )Tanner. The E T stone was re-found either the spring of 1999 or 2000 by my cousin. He had been there a number of times as I have been there twice. In the 1905 Tanner book it said there was an E T but we could not find it. It was under some leaves etc. There is a question as to whether William Tanner had 4 wives instead of 3 and two of them being an Elizabeth. We did not see Hannah Tanner his first wife's stone."
